Welcome MIddle Schoolers!
“Theatre is where we can go to build compassion, to practice listening to, understanding and engaging with people that are like and unlike ourselves. We practice learning from other people’s conflicts and actions. We practice caring.”
Drama 1
7th and 8th grade, open enrollment. The class introduces the student to beginning acting techniques and theatre appreciation. The students will participate in a series of collaborative projects: pantomime, radio plays, neutral scenes, skits, film-making, monologues and more! These projects are designed to explore important artistic and theatrical skills: including creating, designing, preparing, empathizing, practicing, performing, critiquing, and self-reflection.
